A student speaks with representatives from the Texas Department of Public Safety

Almost 1,000 Central High School seniors had the opportunity to explore post-graduation opportunities during Central High School’s annual Senior Day career fair. More than 71 businesses, organizations, colleges, universities and technical schools gathered in the gym to speak to students about career, educational and volunteer opportunities.

More than 1,000 San Angelo ISD second-grade students celebrated literacy and individuality during “United We Read” on Wednesday, November 8. Eighty-five volunteers from local businesses and organizations visited all 17 elementary schools and read "Be You" by Peter H. Reynolds to second-grade students. 

San Angelo ISD High School Students in the Teaching and Training Pathway Learn The Importance of Literacy

Central High School and Lake View High School students in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teaching and Training pathway recently visited Abilene, Texas to experience the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature (NCCIL), a museum dedicated to exhibiting, collecting, preserving and promoting the original artwork from children’s literature. The goal of the trip was for our students to make connections to children’s literature and gain insights into developing and instilling a love for reading into kids.
