San Angelo ISD proudly celebrates four educators selected as Market Street outstanding teachers for going above and beyond to make a difference with students in San Angelo, and who were honored last night by Market Street at the SAISD May Board Meeting, including:
- Kendra Albarado, Lake View High School Biology/Environmental Systems teacher and Head Tennis coach,
- Miranda Chavez, Glenn Middle School English teacher,
- Tara Kellicut, Glenn Middle School English teacher, and
- Veronica Stapper, Glenmore Elementary School, Second Grade teacher.
This School Communicators Day, SAISD celebrates the District Communications Team, including Jack Wilcox, Communications Specialist, Molly Johnson Turk, Director of Community Relations, Alba Banuelos, Receptionist, and Whitney Watson Wood, Executive Director of Communications, who were honored with nine state awards at the 2022 Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) Conference, including a Crystal Certificate of Merit, six Gold Star Awards, and two Bronze Star Awards. The awards honored work from the previous school year, and were announced at TSPRA’s 60th annual Star Awards Celebration held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in Round Rock, Texas.
San Angelo ISD is excited to offer a free, one-day Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Kids Camp this summer to current 2nd - 5th grade SAISD students. Our goal is to bring STEM to life in a fun, engaging manner, and at no charge to students.
San Angelo ISD is excited and proud to announce our 2022 graduation ceremonies celebrating Central High School, Lake View High School and PAYS students are scheduled to be held in-person at the following dates, times and locations:
- Central High School - Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 9 am at the Angelo State University Junell Center/Stephens Arena,
- Lake View High School - Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:30 am at Foster Communications Coliseum, and
- PAYS School - Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 6:00 pm at McNease Convention Center.
All ceremonies will be live-streamed from the District website at www.saisd.org/graduation.
The halls of Reagan Elementary are filled with the bustling sounds of parents, students, and staff as they head to the gym for their annual Cinco De Mayo celebration. This is one of many times that the community and the campus come together as a family to celebrate student smartness. San Angelo ISD and Central High School proudly celebrate Bobcat senior Gracie Barker for winning first place in the state for Ready Writing at the UIL Academic State Meet held May 5-7, 2022 at the University of Texas at Austin.
Gracie Barker and fellow CHS senior Caroline Anderson represented CHS at the state competition after qualifying to advance from the UIL Regional Meet. Both students have competed in UIL Academics throughout high school. Barker competes in Ready Writing, Speech and other UIL events, and Anderson competes in Biology, Mathematics and Science.
